Science & Faith
The Relationship of Science and Faith-Distinguished Speaker Forum, May 6th
Join us on May 6th as we travel to Richmond to hear Dr. Francis Collins speak to the valuable connection between science and faith. This event is part of the Distinguished Speaker Forum hosted by River Road Church, Baptist. We will travel on the bus leaving from the church at 3:30pm so that we can have dinner together prior to the event. The event ends at 8pm so we should be back to Fredericksburg by 9:30pm. Cost of the trip is $25 and dinner will be on your own. Please sign up by emailing Tammy or calling the church office by April 22nd. Please contact Erin Silver with any questions.
Pentecost Sunday
Please join us in celebrating the birthday of the Church on May 24th by bringing pre-sliced cakes or cupcakes to share. You may bring items as you come in for the 8:30am service or as you come in for Sunday School.
Young Adults Beach Retreat
Join us for a Beach Retreat weekend in Cape Charles, VA on June 5-7! The retreat will go from Friday evening to Sunday morning. We will enjoy time reflecting, spending time in God's creation, and have fun fellowship together (and of course, time on the beach!).
Location: Cape Charles, VA (We have rented 2 Airbnbs that form a duplex right next to each other)
Cost: $75 (includes lodging, meals, and activities) Please bring money for ice cream and any extra spending money (there are lots of cute coffee shops and stores!) Full and partial scholarships are available -- contact Beth for more details about this.

The Market at Grelen
The Market at Grelen, April 22nd
Join us for a trip to The Market at Grelen for lunch, a visit to the garden shop, and to the enjoy the beauty of creation through an impressive selection of plants and flowers. This property has some walking trails, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes if you would like to explore one of the walking paths. Also, don’t miss the small batch ice cream! We will leave the church at 9am and plan to be back around 2:30pm. Sign-up by calling or emailing Tammy in the Church office. Contact Erin Silver with any questions. Children's Easter Egg Hunt
Join us for a joyful afternoon at our Easter Egg Hunt on March 29th at 2:00 PM at Silver Ridge Farm! Bring the whole family and a snack to share as we gather for fun, fellowship, and celebration. In addition to the egg hunt, we’ll enjoy games and time together — and all ages are encouraged to come and be part of the fun. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Staying at the Table Mini Retreat
All youth (6th grade & up) and adults are invited to a mini retreat at Fredericksburg Baptist Church: Staying at the Table: Love Outpoured When We Don’t Agree. Led by Meg Rooney (Beth's sister) and Beth Bailey, this retreat—based on Learning to Disagree by John Inazu—will feature engaging discussions, teaching, and interactive activities. Cost is $20 per person ($50 family max) and includes Friday dinner plus Saturday breakfast and lunch. We encourage you to purchase the book in advance for helpful context. Join us for CBFVA’s annual mission weekend for youth at Mission Madness as we worship, fellowship, and be the hands and feet of Christ in a local community!

Our Wednesday Adult Study sessions will meet at 11:30am in the Blue Room. We will continue our exploration of Christian Nationalism, what is it and what it isn't, and how it threatens our country's religious liberty and our country's democracy. This is an important and timely topic, so you are encouraged to invite a friend to participate. We will begin with a light lunch provided by Foode at 11:30 and then begin our study. If you would rather bring your own lunch, you are welcome to do so.
