Potter’s House Preschool
Welcome to Fredericksburg Baptist Church’s Potter’s House Preschool!
Our mission is to provide a nurturing, Christian environment where your child can thrive through our center-based, developmental curriculum. We have ten classrooms designated within the church for preschool and Kindergarten use with additional facilities including a gymnasium, outdoor playground, indoor play area, music room, and sanctuary. We are committed to fostering a love for learning and a strong foundation for growth.
Our Programs
infant
Our full-time infant program caters to little ones aged 8 weeks to 12 months, offering a safe and caring space for their early development. Classes meet Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Two-year-old
We offer three flexible options for 2-year-olds to explore and learn together, with two-day and three-day programs offered 9:00 am - 12 pm. Full-time preschool is also offered from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
four-year-old
We offer three flexible options for 4-year-olds to explore and learn together, with two-day and three-day programs offered 9:00 am - 12 pm. Full-time preschool is also offered from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Toddler
For active explorers aged 12 to 36 months, our toddler program is divided into Toddler 1 (12 to 18 months) and Toddler 2 (18 to 24 months). Classes meet Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are not able to promote students to the 2-year-old class in the middle of the school year.
three-year-old
We offer three flexible options for 3-year-olds to explore and learn together, with two-day and three-day programs offered 9:00 am - 12 pm. Full-time preschool is also offered from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
extended day program
We offer three flexible options for 4-year-olds to explore and learn together, with two-day and three-day programs offered 9:00 am - 12 pm. Full-time preschool is also offered from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
PRIVATE KINDERGARTEN
Our Private Kindergarten program, taught by a Virginia State Licensed teacher, is designed for children turning 5 years old by the end of the current calendar year. Classes run Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The kindergarten program will use a combination of curricula, including Handwriting Without Tears, Virginia Standards of Learning, and internally developed plans taught by a Virginia State Licensed teacher. extended day
For 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds already enrolled in our 9:00 am - 12:00 pm classes, we offer extended day options for additional instructional time on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until 2:00 pm.
early morning drop-off
Busy parents will appreciate our early morning drop-off option, allowing children to be cared for from 7:30 am before classes begin at 9:00 am. There is an additional fee associated with this flexible option.

Rest assured that the Virginia Department of Social Services regulates our preschool, and we follow the Learn Every Day Curriculum and Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum. Your child will explore themes like home, family, community, animals, and more while developing a special connection with God through weekly chapel experiences.
We prioritize safety and quality education at Fredericksburg Baptist Church Potter’s House Preschool. Our teachers are CPR/First Aid certified, and full-day teachers also hold MAT certification.
